A former teammate of Jordan’s elaborated that the basketball legend might be open to the idea of selling the team.

During an appearance on the “djvlad” podcast, John Salley expressed his belief that Michael Jordan is likely to sell the team, stating, “I think Jordan’s gonna sell the team. I think it doesn’t help him anymore. I think getting new blood, new ideas in there. I think he’s 62 years old 61 years old. There’s no reason to keep stressing and having to go to North Carolina when you live in Jupiter, Florida.”

Salley emphasized that as Jordan approaches the later stages of his life, it may not be wise for him to continue the burden of frequently traveling between Florida and North Carolina. Salley also suggested that selling the team, even though the Charlotte Hornets have not won an NBA championship, would be a wise decision.

Michael Jordan’s team struck with more ill-luck

The potential number one pick, Victor Wembanyama, hails from France and possesses remarkable physical attributes, standing over seven feet tall with an impressive wingspan. He is widely regarded as one of the most promising talents expected to make a significant impact in the coming years. While Michael Jordan, the owner of the Charlotte Hornets, would have undoubtedly desired to sign the French youngster for his team, unfortunately, things did not go their way in the draft lottery.
