However, the WNBA declined the request, and it cast a huge doubt on her playing career. Now, the contract situation is sorted, and she is extending her contract. According to ESPN’s official Twitter handle, “Brittney Griner has signed a one-year deal with the Phoenix Mercury, sources confirmed to ESPN.”
