The NBA All-Star weekend is over and the sporting extravaganza was watched all over the world. It was a close game with Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum dropping a masterclass. However, it wasn’t only Tatum who caught the attention of the NBA world and the media. The All-Star game attracted numerous celebrities and the fans were excited to see them turn up for the game in Salt Lake City. Among the plethora of celebrities, actress Janelle Monae stood out.

It is no secret that the NBA attracts a lot of celebrities. During the All-Star weekend, it is not only the basketball stars who get to play. Eminent names belonging to the entertainment industry also play in the All-Star celebrity game.

Jayson Tatum makes history in the All-Star game

Team LeBron and Team Giannis locked horns at the Vivint Arena, the home of the Utah Jazz. Team Giannis led by a dominant performance from Jayson Tatum grabbed a 184-175 win. Interestingly, this is team LeBron’s first loss in the All-Star game.

Tatum scored 55 points for the night setting a new record. He broke Anthony Davis’ previously-held record of 52 points in 2017. Subsequently, Tatum was awarded the All-Star MVP award named after one of his idols, Kobe Bryant.
