Out of the many things that stood out about the iconic Michael Jordan was his willingness to never back down from a challenge. This is still something that is instilled in him, even in his 50s. The Chicago Bulls legend and chairperson of the Charlotte Hornets, has always had a history of humiliating his opponents on the floor when someone decides to call him out. However, a story told by former Charlotte Hornets player Bismack Biyombo is probably one of the rare instances when MJ did not take on a challenge head-on.
Bismack Biyombo played for the Hornets franchise twice in the 12 seasons he has been in the league so far. Biyombo recalled that Jordan would often come into the Hornets’ practice facility even in his early 50s and manage to easily torch the players on the team in one-on-one battles.

Biyombo narrated the story saying, “I think somebody during COVID actually challenged him because we had a phone call, and (MJ) said, ‘Give me a couple months, I just need to get in shape. I don’t need to run and all that, but just a couple months, and I’ll be ready for one-on-one.’ I wouldn’t suggest anybody to do that.”
