NBA legend Dennis Rodman played in the league for 14 years and earned millions. However, with his lifestyle and poor decisions, he lost it all. His NBA career came to an end in 2000 while playing for the Dallas Mavericks. At the time he was 38, and the Mavs decided to go young. Then in the 2003-04 season, he played for the Long Beach Jam which is a minor league affiliate of the Detroit Pistons. He then had some short stints in multiple overseas teams before calling it quits in 2006.

Producers have continually slotted him on the reality-show circuit, and in the past decade, he’s appeared on Celebrity Rehab, Celebrity Apprentice, and Celebrity Mole, where he won $220,000 in 2004 as per reports. However, a few years later, he went broke. Rodman appeared in court to face charges that he owed over $800,000 in child support to an ex-wife. His lawyers claimed Rodman was completely broke and could not pay.

During his time in the NBA, Rodman earned $27 million in salary. In the 1996-97 season, he was the tenth highest-paid player in the league with $9 million. He also earned a lot from his endorsement deals. Despite all this, the Chicago Bulls legend lost everything.

However, he did not regret losing his money. His only regret is not being a great father. During his Hall of Fame acceptance speech in 2012, Rodman stated, “I wish I was a better father.”

The two-time Defensive Player of the Year award winner now has a steady financial situation. As per reports, he has a net worth of $500 thousand. Even though it is not what he is used to having during his prime years in the league, it is definitely better than being broke. Also, it is a step in the right direction for the superstar.
