Kevin Durant just doesn’t seem to catch a break. After being swept in the first round of the playoffs by the Boston Celtics, KD had been in the spotlight for some time now. And not in a good way. Even fans seem to be on his case even when he just tweets about something.

And this time it was about Stephen A. Smith who got called out for his take by two NBA stars.

JJ Reddick and CJ McCollum did something that only a few have been able to do before. They put legendary basketball analyst Stephen A. Smith in a tough situation which is so rare to see. After his take on Westbrook, Smith was called out by the two stars and they forced him to explain himself.

And KD, who watched this, tweeted saying, “Steve can’t beat up on Max Kellerman the boxing guy and the new baseball guy “mad dog” or whatever his name is? I’m locked in now”.

Despite KD not being directly involved in anything, the Warriors fans thought it would be fun to have a go at KD. With their team being in the Finals again, they called him out for leaving the Golden State Warriors. Here are the best reactions:

Durant, who is very vocal, has said several times that the media is not doing a good job. KD was thrilled when the two stars called out Stephen. A. He said that Smith now has to deal with basketball players, rather than someone who has never played.

CJ McCollum and JJ were part of the First Take show and they took issue when Smith said that he didn’t like Westbrook being present at the new head coach’s press conference. Smith said, “Him being at that press conference yesterday — actually to me — I didn’t like it.”

The two stars did not agree as Russ was just doing his job and being a professional. Even though the Lakers might look to trade him, he still did his job and was present when he was required.

And the two stars asked Smith to explain himself. When Smith said that his criticism was towards the Lakers and not Westbrook, they calmed down.
