The Golden State Warriors led by star player Stephen Curry are looking the team to beat this year. The Warriors have been dominating all season and are hoping to win the NBA championship this year. People have showered praises for their performances this season and former Clippers player is the latest to comment.

Corey Maggette, a former Clippers star, joined the likes of Shaquille O’Neal in praising the Warriors. He talked about the Warriors and how Curry is a trendsetter for the rest of the league.

Maggette talked about the Warriors and was all praises for Curry. According to him, Curry’s influence on the game puts him amongst the top 5 players to ever play. During an interview, Magette mentioned how Curry influences the game.

Corey Maggette told NBC Sports, “He took a page out of Ray Allen’s playbook, he took a page out of Reggie Miller’s playbook and then he established his own playbook, and that’s where I feel like he’s not just the greatest shooter. This guy can be considered among the top-five greatest players of all time because of the way he’s changed the game. You have to be a trend-setter in the league. Steph Curry is a trend-setter.”

Curry is undoubtedly the greatest shooter in the league, Maggette believes that Stephen Curry should be considered among the greatest players and not just shooters.

Maggette further added, “He’s not just a 3-point shooter. The thing about it that separates Steph Curry from everyone else is that not only does he shoot the ball, but he shoots the ball when there’s a defender in his face.

The Golden State Warriors have been simply sensational this season. They sit on top of the western conference and are frontrunners to win the championship this year. Stephen Curry leads the line, and he is in prime contention to win the MVP award this season.

Curry’s rise to fame

Curry was born on March 14, 1988. He had already established himself as a great shooter after setting the NCAA record for most three-pointers during his second year of college.

The Warriors signed Curry as the seventh overall pick in the 2009 draft. He helped the Golden State Warriors end their four-decade championship drought.

Steph Curry is a three-time NBA champion, 7 times All-Star, and 2 time MVP. He averages 27.7 points,5.3 rebounds, and 5.9 assists this season and is fighting for the NBA MVP award alongside former teammate Kevin Durant.
