Bronny James is currently one of the finest young basketball talents in America. The 18-year-old plays for Sierra Canyon high school in California and is set to start his college career very soon. He has made immense progress in the last few years and has made himself into a highly-touted basketball talent for the coming years. Several colleges have lined up to welcome the prodigy into their structure, but nothing official has come out yet. However, Ohio stands as his biggest prospect as per several reports and calculations.
While the young talent prepares himself for his eventual landing into the big leagues, people have already started calling him out publicly. With the added popularity of his father, NBA superstar LeBron James, Bronny is already at the center of several conversations. The latest name to send a “message” to the 18-year-old is LaVar Ball, who has previously been in the crosshairs of the James family.

The ‘Dad Beef’ between LeBron James and LaVar Ball
A few years ago, Ball, father to three professional basketball players himself, made some controversial comments on Bronny James, which didn’t sit well with LeBron. Ball had said that it will be tougher for Bronny to fill his father’s shoes and he will be unable to break out from LeBron’s shadow. The former pro tight end had doubled down on his analysis by comparing Bronny’s situation to the late great Kobe Bryant and Stephen Curry.
He said that the two legends managed to surprise the NBA world because their fathers were average basketball players at best. Ball also said that Bronny will be considered “soft” if he fails to surpass his father’s legacy.

This prompted a fierce response from King James as he warned Ball to keep his kids’ names out of his mouth, “Keep my kids’ name out of your mouth… This is dad to dad. It’s a problem now.” LeBron said that Ball is free to comment on him or his game but he should “keep [his] family out of this”.
However, this didn’t stop Ball from making more comments about James and his family. “Whatever they’re saying, I don’t care. They’re not going to stop me from doing what I’m doing,” Ball said in his response to LeBron’s warning to him.
LaVar Ball is known for making such comments in the public domain. In the past, he has compared his kids to Curry and challenged Curry to play in his son’s position. This time he has a blunt message for Bronny James who is preparing to take a big step forward in his career.

LaVar Ball has a message for Bronny James
Although it is common for people to talk about athletes as they are public figures, the recent message from Ball for Bronny is personal. He said that Bronny should stop playing among kids and should rather test himself against grown men, “Why? Because you playing against grown men and you getting paid. If you want to play basketball and you really that dude, why am I sitting in class trying to pass a chemistry test? I don’t want to play no chemistry. I don’t want to practice no Spanish,” he added.
