On the latest episode of The Steam Room podcast, the former Philadelphia 76ers legend talked about three shooting incidents that have gripped the country in horror. Barkley said, “There have been three shootings, they’re really like, man, what the hell is going on in the world? We had the young black kid get shot because he knocked on the wrong door. No questions asked, just shot through the door!“
This incident took place in Kansas City. Thankfully, the victim is stable now and is recovering well. Meanwhile, Barkley also touched on the incident in his home state of Alabama, where a reported shooting occurred during a Sweet 16 party. The tragedy took the lives of four people and left multiple injured.
“It breaks your heart and I’m to the point now, I’m not gonna take this sh*t anymore,” said Barkley. The Phoenix Suns legend asserted that he is not going to just sit back and let these incidents continue. In fact, he refused to let the sheer number of these incidents numb his sense of horror.
The 60-year-old also called out the nation’s politicians and demanded that they get themselves together and find a solution once and for all.

While talking to the former NCAA coach, Barkley asked, “My question with Alabama is the Miller situation gonna be so much of a distraction. Are they gonna be able to pull it together? “
This came weeks before the Alabama Crimson Tide crashed out of March Madness. Although they were the top seed this year, off-court issues certainly played a role in their dismal performance.
