Stephen Curry is widely regarded as the greatest shooter of all time. The four-time NBA champion has been instrumental in changing the way basketball is played. A lot of credit for that goes to his father, Dell Curry, who helped him with his mechanics and technique. Meanwhile, his mother, Sonya Curry, helped him with the other things in life.
Growing up as a son of an NBA player certainly helped shape who Curry is today. He is well respected among his peers; he has spent his entire career with the Golden State Warriors and has a beautiful family to go home to.

Dell and Sonya allowed their kids to flourish and had certain rules that kept the kids in line and focused. A young Stephen Curry revealed in a video from 20 years ago how his mother made sure he stayed away from bad influences and focused on his education. After the interviewer asked Steph about homework, he replied, “there’s no slacking.”
“She’s always on us about it and she expects good grades and good effort into it,” 14-year-old Curry said. Although Steph made a career in basketball, he’s also a well-educated man. He has always been honest about himself and how influential his parents have been throughout his life.
