In a recent episode of The Big Podcast, Nischelle Turner revealed how she tried to be a good friend and check up on Shaq after she learned he was sick. Turner mentioned how there were a lot of speculations about The Big Man’s absence before she talked to his daughter.

The Entertainment Tonight reporter revealed that a lot of people thought that Shaq was stuck in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Shaq revealed that a lot of people didn’t buy the Los Angeles Lakers legend announcing his sickness via a doctor on TNT. The Big Diesel later confirmed that the doctor in question was indeed a ‘real doctor’ despite Nischelle Adams and Spice Adams refusing to believe him.

If I’m being honest I did check on you[Shaq]” Turner revealed eventually. She further added, “And your daughter said you slept for 12 hours that day. She said you really weren’t feeling good. So we’ll give him that one Spicy[Spice Adams], he really wasn’t feeling good.

The Big man confirmed that he had a bit of a fever and needed to rest. Although it was unusual for Shaq, he decided to take a break from his job for a while. Additionally, the Big Aristotle also didn’t want to make his colleagues and friends sick. He joked about how he didn’t want to get “Ernie[Johnson] in jeopardy“.

However, Shaq admitted that he didn’t care about two of his friends.

Shaq doesn’t care about Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith

 The crew of NBA on TNT have gradually developed such a relationship among themselves over years of working together, as they mentioned after signing their latest contract last year. Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Charles Barkley signed a shining new 10-year contract with TNT in October 2022. Their bond together is touching and entertaining, the reason behind the 10-year contract.

However, Shaq apparently doesn’t care for Chuck and Kenny. He revealed during his podcast that the only reason he didn’t go to the TNT set was to avoid making Ernie Johnson sick. “Kenny and Chuck I don’t mind getting them sick, but I care about Ernie,” Shaq declared, as Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams burst out in laughter.
