Last season, the Golden State Warriors took home the NBA title. The Western Conference Semi-finals between the Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies proved to be a worthwhile investment for fans. The Grizzlies point guard, Ja Morant, believes his team could have easily advanced to the Conference Finals if they played healthy. However, Morant’s statement received harsh criticism from NBA fans online.
Morant has a reputation for being prideful and confident in his statements. But this time around, NBA fans seemed to question whether the Grizzlies would have made it to the Conference Finals past the Warriors even with a healthy squad.

The Golden State Warriors eventually breezed through the playoffs, defeating the Memphis Grizzlies by a scoreline of 4-2. In a recent interview with ‘The Pivot Podcast’, Morant made a statement about his team being the favorites, saying: “It was pretty much our year but that injury caused me to be out. And now you have to change lineups and you know guys playing without me. I feel like that’s the most frustrating part for me. Ja Morant’s knee injury led to the forced change in the lineup. The 23-year-old feels that if they remained healthy and in the manner that they are renowned for, they would have surely gotten past the Warriors. Fans started presenting their views as the interview went live. And Curry’s fans left no stone unturned in their criticism of the Grizzlies’ point guard.

Fans have their say on Morant and the Grizzlies
Last season, even without Morant, the Grizzlies’ performance was arguably remarkable. The Warriors have all of the prominent stars and experience when it comes to performing in the playoffs. After all, the trio of Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, and Draymond Green had already triumphed to win four championships.
