It was a tight game from the get-go with neither team able to take a double-digit lead. The Celtics were not able to make any shot, whereas the Warriors continued to make smart plays down the stretch.

Steph Curry made five of his six three-point attempts in the second half to take the game away from the Celtics.

Warriors suffocate Boston in the fourth-quarter

The Boston Celtics made just one field goal in the final five minutes of the game. Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart missed bucket after bucket and it proved to be fatal. The Warriors outscored the Celtics 17-3 during the decisive stretch and ended up winning the game by 10 points.

One of the critiques of Boston’s poor play down the stretch was the ‘King’ himself, LeBron James.

James knows all about such kinds of stretches against the Warriors. They have the ability to take the game away in a matter of minutes. He suffered a lot against the Warriors during his tenure with the Cleveland Cavaliers, so it could even be said that he knows better than most when it comes to making the right decisions in critical moments.

But that is not the case this time as he was criticized for his take on the Celtics’ shot selection.
