The Chicago Bulls have made a dream start to their NBA season. They have now improved to 4-0 this season with all new stars showing out. However, the last time this happened for the ‘Windy City’ was back in 1996. That year Michael Jordan and The Bulls broke the regular season record for most wins. Moreover, they capped it all off with a championship.

With the current Bulls, the balance has hit the right note. Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan have made their impact clear as soon as they stepped on. While DeRozan adds the scoring and athleticism besides Lavine, Ball is a great passer and shooter.

Now, despite an injured Nikola Vucevic, Chicago is dominating and look like the superior team with any matchup. With their record reminiscent of the 96′ Bulls, could they also replicate what Michael Jordan and co. did?

Can the the present replicate Michael Jordan and 96′ Chicago Bulls season?
There is no doubt that the current Bulls are dominant. However, racking up 72 wins is really tough in the modern day. One of the things it takes is for stars to play all games. Michael Jordan and others were reluctant on playing all 82 games in the season. This made the Bulls serious threats because all stars would come out for the kill.
Currently, the game doesn’t see stars play all games. Once in a favorable position, players do take breaks to gear up for playoff time. One thing is sure that these Bulls have a high probability of making the playoffs. The atmosphere in Chicago will be wild as they see themselves back in the playoffs.

However, the 96′ Bulls also won the championship while breaking the record for most wins. Carrying the same success from regular season to playoffs is not an easy job. With the current Bulls, there is not a lot of playoff experience apart from DeRozan. Moreover, there are other stacked teams as well.

If the current Bulls want to see their season end with a title, they will need a mindset like Michael Jordan and his Bulls. Winning needs to be the sole focus and nothing else can faze you. The regular season record isn’t all that important. But the current Bulls can definitely have championship aspirations as they have the talent to rival teams like Brooklyn and Lakers.
