NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal talked about the recent physical altercation between former Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Terrell Owens and a man outside a store. As per reports, the NFL Hall of Famer stated he punched the man “in self-defense.” Owens landed a punch and dropped the man to the sidewalk and after that, drove away in his car. However, Shaq was a bit worried for Owens’ safety following the incident. In the latest episode of ‘The Big Podcast’, the Big Diesel  revealed his concern about the whole ordeal to his  co-hosts Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams.

During the show, NFL veteran Adams brought up the altercation of Owens with a man. Even though it looked like Owens came out without any scratches, Shaq thought Owens should not have indulged in the altercation. He stated that Owens should be more careful and added that the man could come back with a lawsuit or that “thang.”

Shaquille O’Neal was concerned for the safety of Terrell Owens. He said, in his podcast, “We’re living in different times. T.O. needs to be careful. Because #1, the dude can come back with a lawsuit or he can come back with that thang!” 

Turner suggested that the man would most likely come back with a lawsuit against TO. However, Shaq was not worried about the lawsuit. The Los Angeles Lakers legend added that he would not swing at anyone without knowing whether they have a weapon or not.

Turner then noted that apparently the other guy swung at Owens first and the Cowboys legend was just defending himself. The four-time champion admitted that defending yourself is okay. However, he was still not convinced that someone like Owens should indulge in it too much.

Shaq further added, “There’s something in the news every day. I wouldn’t wanna be reading no story that TO got into a fight with a dude and the dude pull out a pistol. Because the other guy ain’t got nothing to lose.”

Adams stated that Owens is not somebody who would do something like that without getting provoked. As it turns out, the unnamed man was reportedly bothering people at the store. Hence, Owens intervened and tried to take control of the situation. However, Shaq had a legitimate reason to be worried for TO, especially with crime rates increasing in many major cities across the country.

The footage of the altercation between Terrell Owens and an unidentified man has gone viral. As per reports, Owens stopped at CVS for some necessities and inside the store, a fan approached him. Hence, a second man walked up and confronted the fan. He also threatened the fan with physical violence as soon as he was outside the store.

While Owens tried to be the peacemaker, the aggressor swung at him. In response, TO punched him back trying to defend himself.
