Me’arah, daughter of NBA legend Shaquille O?Neal voiced her support for female basketball players trash-talking during games in the aftermath of Shannon Sharpe’s tussle with Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies. Female college basketball star Angel Reese plays for LSU. She has been one of the best female college players in the country this season. In a recent game against Arkansas, Reese had a dominant performance with 30 points and 19 rebounds. However, her performance was not the talking point after the game.

During the game, Angel Reese received a technical foul for staring at an opponent after a block with just one shoe. Reese was not happy with the call and took it to Twitter to share her frustration.

Angel Reese took to Twitter and shared her frustration about the technical foul call. Reese argued women athletes are not allowed to show their emotions during games. She argued if it was a male athlete no one would have batted an eye. She then called for normalizing women trash-talking in games and sports. Reese wrote, “‘I?m too hood’. ‘I?m too ghetto’. I don?t fit the narrative and I?M OK WITH THAT. I?m from Baltimore where you hoop outside & talk trash. If it was a boy y?all wouldn?t be saying nun at all. Let?s normalize women showing passion for the game instead of it being ’embarrassing’.”

Me’arah O?Neal showed her support for Angel Reese and shared the tweet in her Instagram stories. She wrote, “Facts! Please normalize females talkin they talk on the court…if boys do it why can’t we??! Its called PASSION”
