“It Was Just Me, Myself and My Anxiety”: Millionaire Actress on Her Troubled Marriage With Ex-NFL Star Before Finding Love With NBA Legend Dwyane Wade

There was a lot of buzz in the NFL and NBA communities in 2017 actress Gabrielle Union, wife of NBA great Dwyane Wade, published her memoir ‘We’re Going To Need More Wine.‘ Aside from sharing stories from her first marriage, she also shared stories from her second marriage.
Additionally, she discussed this issue with People magazine in an interview. Throughout the book, she shares what happened during her marriage to retired NFL running back Chris Howard. As she wrote, she encountered many instances that made her question her marriage.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were Howard’s NFL team during his time in the league. Following their wedding in 2001, the couple decided to separate after a few years of marriage. Union detailed the issues she faced in the book.
The actress described Howard’s proposal as “the first of a list of many ignored red flags”. As she explains in her book, “There was a rose petal path from the front door to the bedroom. At the end was Chris, down on one knee.”

It was publicly known in 2010 that the couple was in love. Their relationship lasted several years before they decided to tie the knot in 2014 and start their lives together. As far as their love story goes, it continues to this day.
