It does not happen that often that LeBron James gets disrespected, and that too on a live broadcast. But that was the case in the most recent episode of ‘The Shop’ when Super Bowl winner Jalen Ramsey made some bold claims about LeBron James if he were playing in the NFL instead of the NBA.

LeBron James hosted another episode of ‘The Shop’ and had a bunch of celebrities on for another discussion about all things under the Sun. He also had Jalen Ramsey, the Super Bowl-winning cornerback for the Los Angeles Rams.

Jalen Ramsey makes some bold claims about LeBron James

James has often said if he did not take up basketball, he would’ve played football instead. And it has often been discussed how good would James be if he played in the NFL instead of the NBA.

Well, James might have gotten an answer that he possibly wasn’t a fan of. While talking on the show, James and Ramsey got into an argument about how it would’ve been if James were in the league.

Jalen Ramsey was asked how things might’ve gone down if LeBron James was playing and he straight up said, “LeBron had no chance, I ain’t gonna lie.” And that ended up sparking a debate among the group.

Ramsey went on to say that he had never been Moss’d in his career and to that James said, “I would’ve Moss’d Jalen.” Now, for those who don’t know what the term ‘Moss’ means, it was coined after the legendary Randy Moss.

Randy Moss played as a wide receiver, a position James would’ve likely played if he was in the NFL. Moss made a career out of making catches that seemed almost impossible during games.

As Jalen Ramsey plays the cornerback position for his team, the primary role of a CB is to cover receivers on the field. And if Bron were playing football, Ramsey could’ve been guarding James in the end zone.

Could LeBron have been better than an NFL player if he played?

Ramsey is 6’1″ whereas James is 6’9″. That is an eight-inch difference between the two. Ramsey may be stronger than James and might have an advantage in speed as well. But one area where Ramsey possibly cannot match James is his vertical jump.

NBA players are known to have insane verticals and the ability to get off the floor with ease. So a 6’9″ wide receiver versus a 6’1″ cornerback? Well, the fans can be the judge of that.
