“Who You Rootin’ for Tonight?”: After Getting Called Out by Fans, Jayson Tatum Confronts NFL Star Moments Before Getting Vanquished in Playoffs Game 1

The Boston Celtics hosted the Miami Heat for Game 1 of the Conference Finals tonight. Though the Heat came into TD Garden ad took Game 1, it was an epic battle, nonetheless. However, before the game against the Heat, Celtics star Jayson Tatum decided to call out an NFL linebacker for being a bandwagoner. This led the Dallas Cowboys player to give his best in order to put the bandwagon label to rest.

Oftentimes, many fans are quick to switch the team they support based on who’s winning. And it looks like that trend isn’t limited to just fans as a Dallas Cowboys linebacker fell prey to it as well.

Jayson Tatum puts the NFL star on the spot

Ahead of the matchup against the Miami Heat, Dallas Cowboys’ linebacker, Micah Parsons was also in the building. As both teams were shooting around and getting ready for the game, Parsons had a few words with Celtics star Jayson Tatum.

During their interaction, Tatum reminded Parsons, “Last time I seen you, you had a Philly jersey on.” This immediately led Parsons to clarify himself by saying that he was in Philadelphia then. Tatum immediately asked him, “Who you rootin’ for tonight?” And Parsons was quick to say, “I’m with you tonight.” He finished off the whole interaction in the end by saying, “I’m about to go get a Celtics jersey.”

In the story uploaded by Bleacher Report on Instagram, Micah Parsons could be seen rocking a Jayson Tatum jersey right afterward. The NFL star went on to have a few words with Celtics forward Grant Williams as well.

The two athletes could be seen laughing and catching up right in the middle of the court before tipoff. Parsons also went on to get a few pictures clicked with the Indiana Pacers legend, Reggie Miller. However, fans called the 23-year-old out for switching allegiance to the Celtics.

Micah Parsons responds to bandwagoner claims

As the game went on, Micah Parsons got called out for being a bandwagoner by a sports page on Twitter. The caption read, “The LeBron of the NFL” wherein it was referred that Parsons joined or supported teams that were winning or had a better shot at winning.

The post had Parsons in three different jerseys, followed by an old tweet of his. In the tweet, Parsons could be seen rooting for the Golden State WarriorsAs the tweet regarding Parsons started to go viral, he immediately retweeted the post on his official account. Along with the retweeted post, Parsons wrote, “Broooo starting next year I’m claiming one team!!!”

Let’s see if Parsons is a man of his word and actually decides to stick it out with one team in the upcoming season.
