At 7’1″ and 325 lbs, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal was a nightmare for his opponents on both ends of the hardwood. The Los Angeles Lakers legend was unstoppable at the low block and the defense had no answers other than fouling him. Because of his strength, Shaq was able to take on hard fouls well. But after running out of patience, the four-time NBA champion never hesitated to retaliate. Almost five years after a violent airport altercation took place, the Big Diesel recently revealed the details of a retaliation after a man had disrespected him.

Over the course of his career, Shaq has been involved in multiple altercations, dating back to his college days. Shaquille O’Neal revealed the truth behind the brutal altercation

Shaquille O’Neal recently joined in a recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show and discussed a variety of interesting things. Former NFL star Adam Jones was also in attendance for the podcast. Immediately after joining the show, Shaq asked if ‘Pacman’ Jones was there.

He then asked the former Cincinnati Bengals star whether he can tell the truth behind the airport altercation five years ago in which Jones was involved. The cornerback agreed. Therefore, O’Neal revealed that Jones was actually “sticking up” for him at the Atlanta airport and thanked Jones for it.

Shaq said, “Pac I really wanna say thank you for always being my bodyguard and you whopped that dude a** because he was disrespecting me. And nobody know the story but I appreciate you very much.” The host then asked what did the other guy say to Shaq to prompt such a reaction.

However, Shaq replied he does not remember that. He added, “Pacman just said, ‘Hey don’t talk to Shaq like that’. And I just had to get on my plane. The next thing I know, Pacman put them paws on him.”

After Shaq’s big reveal, Jones noted that he had kept it a secret for so long. The crew members could not believe that the altercation was because the other guy disrespected the 15-time NBA All-Star.

In 2018, Adam Jones was involved in an infamous altercation with an airport employee at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. It sent shockwaves across the country. The video of the altercation went viral as well.

At the time it was reported that an airport employee had “made a gesture” and Jones confronted him. However, the police determined the employee was the aggressor as he first struck Jones in the face and injured a woman’s hand who was with the NFL veteran. He was then arrested on two counts of battery.
