The glorious FIFA World Cup kicked off in Qatar. The 2010 champions, Spain were one of the favorites heading into the tournament. In hopes to emulate their success, their first outing came against Costa Rica. And the Spaniards began their journey with an utter humiliation of their opponents. Notably, Spain burst through Costa Rica seven times with no answer in return. Interestingly, the embarrassing defeat for ‘Los Ticos’ brought back an iconic Michael Jordan meme.

Several opponents tried to overthrow Jordan throughout his career. On the Finals stage, the Chicago Bulls met the Utah Jazz twice in two years. The John Stockton-Karl Malone duo came close to spoiling His Airness’ perfect Finals record. However, every time they came close. MJ hit them with a show of his heroics. Possibly his most famous moment against the Jazz was the last shot in the 1998 NBA Finals. The single shot shut down all hope for Utah. Moreover, it cemented the six-time champion’s dominance over them.
