If you have been following Shaquille O’Neal for a long time, then you know he doesn’t shy away from letting his opinions known. Be it when he was an NBA player or when he became an NBA analyst, nothing has stopped Shaq from saying what he wanted. This is why the Big Diesel’s podcast is so popular among fans. The Big Podcast with Shaq is co-hosted by reporter Nischelle Turner and former NFL player Anthony ‘Spice’ Adams. Not only does the trio talk about everything that goes on in the league but also entertains the viewers with bits of fun conversations related to their personal lives.

Additionally, they have also managed to get themselves involved in controversial situations at times. For example, several weeks ago Shaq was involved in a verbal feud with Brooklyn Nets player Ben Simmons. Simmons had called out to Shaq through JJ Redick’s The Old Man and the Three podcast. In response, Shaq gave Simmons a befitting answer through his podcast. But this is just one of the many controversies that the Los Angeles Lakers star has been involved in.

Therefore, when Turner invited The Rock to their podcast, he refused to be part of the show due to an arguably understandable reason.

The Rock declines the invitation to appear on the Shaquille O’Neal podcast

In the most recent episode of Shaq’s podcast, Nischelle Turner revealed that the other day, former wrestler turned actor Dwayne Johnson had asked her to greet Shaq on his behalf and also admitted that he knew about their podcast. However, when she invited the $800 million worth actor on their podcast he opted out of it, saying that both Shaq and Adams “would get him in way too much trouble.

In response, Shaq said,

“That’s not true. First of all, everybody knows about our podcast. We have the number one podcast out there. Every time we say something, it’s going viral.”

The incident came up after Nischelle told her co-hosts that she had just interviewed George Clooney and Julia Roberts. Furthermore, she stated that Clooney had shared a funny albeit slightly embarrassing story with her that involved Shaq. As it turns out, Clooney ran into Shaquille O’Neal about 30 years ago in the sets of ER.

Incidentally, when Shaq spotted Clooney, he went over to greet him. However, it became a little awkward when Clooney went for a handshake and Shaq instead pulled him in for a hug. As if that wasn’t enough, the awkwardness quickly turned into embarrassment when Clooney ended up hugging Shaq’s crotch due to their height difference. As Nischelle relayed the entire story, the trio ended up having a good laugh about it.
