However, his consistency has been questionable in recent seasons. Kyrie Irving has been a mystery to both his fans and his opposition teams.

According to reports, Irving has missed more than 300 games in his career and on most occasions, it wasn’t due to injuries or emergencies. It was his personal decision not to play these games.

When he decided that he wouldn’t get the COVID-19 vaccination, he was aware of the consequences of that decision. Thus, he could not play for a majority of the games.

His teammate, Nic Claxton, told that Irving has the potential to win the MVP and the finals MVP. Claxton said that Irving could do whatever he sets his mind to do. However, knowing his unreliability in showing up for games, fans slammed the Nets star.

NBA fans call out Nets star for his inconsistency

Fans knew that Irving had the skills and could be a terrific player. They were debating if he would show up for more than 25 games to be a worthy contender for the MVP. Other people sarcastically put their impossible dreams and wishful thinking.

“In order to win games, he actually needs to play games,” said a fan. Others chimed in and agreed that Irving has a lot of potential. But he chose not to maximize on it for reasons that are his own.

In an interview with ESPN, the Nets star said that he had never left the game. “I go everywhere with it“. The game of basketball had also not left him. The love for the game was still intact, according to Irving.
