NBA superstar LeBron James is a loving and supportive father. His oldest son Bronny James is a huge prospect. There is a lot of anticipation from the fans for the father-son duo to play together in the NBA in the future. Bronny is also interested in video games, which landed him on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 2021. James was a proud father to see his son achieve something that James himself achieved when he was in high school. James was dubbed The Chosen One and made the cover of Sports Illustrated when he was a high school junior.

LeBron James created history as he became the youngest player ever to make the cover of Sports Illustrated. However, that added more pressure on the youngster as he received nationwide recognition. Also, even the editors of the media outlet were not sure about calling The Chosen One because of the pressure that comes with the nickname.

They were even concerned it could ruin his career. However, that was not the case. James wore it like a badge of honor and even got a tattoo of it on his back. When Bronny made the cover, James was proud but had to let his son know that he was the youngest to make the cover.

James stated his son loves to play basketball and play basketball but he loves video games as well. However, when James bragged about him being the youngest to make the cover, Bronny flexed. James recalled, “He was like, ‘Dad, no, you were actually six months older than me. And now I’m the youngest guy.’”

Bronny James appeared on the cover in June 2021, as he joined the Faze Clan, making him the first active basketball player still in high school to join the team. There are other basketball players on the team but none are still in high school. 

Bronny James is a highly-rated high school basketball star. LeBron James’ dream of playing with his son might come true if Bronny continues his upward trajectory.
