After a record breaking performance against New Odleans Pelicans on Wednesday, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic seems to have raised a few injury concerns.
Doncic missed the game against Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday with a knee injury. However, a day later, he came back to play against Chicago Bulls.
After Wednesday’s game against the Pelicans, Tim Macmahon of ESPN reported via Twitter that Doncic headed to the X Ray room with the team doctors.
The Mavericks will be hoping there is nothing severe about Doncic.
Doncic finished Thursday with a triple-double registering 30 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists. At just 21, it was already his 22nd career triple-double. With it, Doncic now has the most number of triple-doubles for the Mavericks in the NBA. Achieving it in 122 ganes, Doncic went past Hall of Famer Jason Kidd who had 21 triple-doubles in 500 career games.
Doncic’s performance on Wednesday was well supported by Jristaps Porzingis. The duo combined to 64 points and 29 rebounds to lead the Mavericks to a win.
Porzingis and Doncic are only the fourth Mavericks pair to register 30 points and 10 rebounds in the same game after Dirk Nowitzki & Josh Howard (2008), Dirk Nowitzki & Michael Finley (2002), George McCloud & Jason Kidd (1996).
