

Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray had to be carried off the court with an apparent ankle injury during the game against Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday in NBA.

Murray was already suffering from a back injury coming into the game. He was listed as questionable for the game but came out to start the game on Wednesday. He now seems to have another injury to worry about.
With around a minute and a half left in the second quarter, Murray suffered the injury. He went to block a three-pointer in the corner and the landing seemed to be the problem. He fell to the ground immediately after the attempted block.

After around a couple of minutes, the Denver staff came to help him out of the court.

X-rays on Jamal Murray negative
Although the injury looked nasty on the first look, it was later reported that X-rays on his ankle were negative. Katy Winge of local channel Altitude TV reported that Jamal admitted the injury was not as bad as it initially looked.
UPDATE: Jamal Murray is OUT with a left ankle injury. Assistant coach Charles Klask did tell me that Jamal said he did not feel like it was as bad as he originally thought right when it happened.

Murray played 15 minutes in the first half and scored five points shooting 2-of-7 from the field and had an assist. Over the 39 games in the season, Murray is averaging 17.9 points, 4.7 assists, and 4.2 rebounds a game.
