It is true that the company’s major focus was definitely the next-gen NBA 2K21. As it seems, the current-gen is similar to NBA 2K20.  Apart from some change in career mode and a new shooting feature, the gameplay is the same.

Moreover, 2K’s effort to revamp the shooting mechanism was not well-received by fans. Most players have been struggling to get used to these new shooting controls. As a result, they are requesting that the devs release a patch update with this issue being fixed.

Along with the poor shooting mechanism, the next big complaint that the players have made is the lousy dribbling animations, which have been termed as laggy when compared to the previous editions of the NBA 2K franchise.

The next-generation NBA 2K21 will come out along with the next-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Maybe the upcoming game will be better? Who knows, fingers crossed!
