“He Thinks He’s the Star, And He’s Not”: Charles Barkley Hits Back at Draymond Green

In the most recent comments to prolong what seems to be an ever-lasting feud, Charles Barkley called Draymond Green “the least-famous person in a boy band.”
It had all started when Barkley mocked Green last month after his ejection against Los Angeles Lakers, saying he still got his “triple-single.” Green didn’t wait long before he would reply to the comments. Green criticised Barkley’s lack of CHampionships and said he was not good enough to be an analyst.
“He should stop before I take his job. If he keeps talking, I’ll take it soon – sooner than he thinks,” Green said a few days back. “He probably should be quiet. He also can’t talk basketball with me, either. Not smart enough, not qualified. No rings, can’t sit at this table.”

Draymond Green isn’t famous, feels Charles Barkley
Green started his NBA career in 2012 with the Golden State Warriors and has been playing for them since then. Over the years, he has been a part of many star-studded Warriors lineups. He has played alongside the likes of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala, Klay Thompson.
Green has always had his defensive presence felt. But with scoring prowess around him, it was always difficult for him to get the same recognition as others. Barkley took this aspect of Green’s career to hit back at him.

“My job is safe. Draymond Green is a nice guy. I like Draymond, and he’s a good player. But you know what he is? He’s like the guy in a boy band who’s the least important member, and he thinks the crowd is cheering for him. He doesn’t realize he’s standing next to Justin Timberlake,” Barkley said.
“But he’s a nice guy, I like messing with him. First of all, he doesn’t have a face for TV. He’s got a face for radio, so he’s not going to get my TV gig.”

“He’s the least famous person in the boy band, and he thinks he’s a star. And he’s not. He’s lucky to be in the boy band. He thinks all the girls are screaming for him. No, they’re screaming for Justin Timberlake.”
