Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant felt that Shaquille O’Neal could just run through defenses if he were to play in the current generation.

Shaquille has been one of the most powerful players in the league. He first played in the NBA in 1992 when Orlando Magis drafted him in with the first overall pick. After playing four years with Orlando, Shaq moved to Los Angeles Lakers, where he formed an impressive partnership with Kobe Bryant.

The duo gave the Lakers three consecutive Championships in 2000, 2001, 2002. And on all three occasions, Shaquille won the finals MVP award. He was also the NBA MVP in 2000. Later, after a feud with Bryant, Shaq went to Miami Heat and won another Championship there. He spent the final three years of his career playing a season each for Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Boston Celtics.

Durant felt that Shaq could make use of the spaces and can run through defences with his strength if he were to play in this generation. He didn’t hesitate to name Shaq in the latest episode of “Take It There” with Taylor Rooks when he was asked to name a former player who he would like to see in the current generation.

“Shaq, for sure. … He’s so big and agile, athletic that he can run and play in the space that we do now. But you could play small guys against him. So, he’d be the ultimate cheat code for the game,” Durant said.
