

The NBA and its fans grieved Sunday afternoon in the wake of the shocking news that former star Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, were among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in Southern California.
“The NBA family is devastated by the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna,” NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement. “For 20 seasons, Kobe showed us what is possible when remarkable talent blends with an absolute devotion to winning.”

LeBron James Finally Speaks
They shared a very special bond. They were like brothers, so when James failed to issue a statement ASAP after the news of Bryant’s death spread like wildfire, fans a confused and disappointed.
Finally, King James took to Instagram to convey his condolences to the Bryant Family. It seems it took LeBron some time to get over the fact that the person he idolized, has passed away. James’ Instagram post came on Monday, a day after the horrible tragedy. James is very close to Bryant’s family.
The caption read:

The two legends were very close to each other. They congratulated each other on their achievements and corrected each other’s mistakes without hesitation. In Kobe Bryant’s last tweet, he congratulated LeBron for surpassing him in the NBA all-time scoring list. Such brotherhood is rare. The fact that his last tweet was for James’ achievements has left fans in tears.
