Philadelphia 76ers legend Charles Barkley retired from the NBA almost 23 years ago. This, however, did not mean that he was ready to say goodbye to the world of basketball yet. Soon after that, TNT hired Chuck as a sports analyst. Barkley?s show would go on to welcome other former players like Shaquille O?Neal and Kenny Smith in his midst.

Shaquille O’Neal and Co target Barkley in this resurfaced clip

The viral clip highlighted a moment that took place back in October 2022 between Charles Barkley and his other ?Inside the NBA? co-hosts. It starts with Barkley recalling something that was once told to him by the legendary coach Gregg Popovich. Before the former player could complete his sentence, Kenny Smith interrupted in the middle by saying ?Stop eating??

Shaq joined in by saying ?Don?t go to Krispy Kreme?? as everyone, including Barkley, had a look of amusement on their face.

Ernie Johnson, who usually is the voice of reason, also made a quick jab, saying ?Not every play is designed for you??

This caused Smith to revert back and say ?No no no. Not every ?plate? is designed for you?? The above roasts resulted in Barkley sarcastically stating that he would ?hit a man with glasses.?

Since all three co-hosts wear glasses, it seemed like the 11x NBA All-Star had a few choices to pick from.

?You making a lot of money. Please hit me,? said Smith in reply to Barkley?s remark. From the looks of it, it seems that the two-time NBA champion wouldn?t hesitate in filing a lawsuit if he could make some quick bucks out of the $60 million legend.

Will “King Charles” make Barkley leave TNT?

Despite all the fun moments and memories that the 76ers Legend has created with his co-hosts, he may have to leave it behind in lieu of another opportunity.

A few months ago, Barkley made headlines after it was announced that he signed a deal with CNN to host a weekly prime-time show. With prominent TV personality Gayle King joining as co-host, Barkley?s show ?King Charles? will begin in the fall of 2023.

Despite the fact that Barkley once compared the network to the Titanic, he is going through with the agreement.

Fans still don?t know whether the former player will be managing his time with both networks or bidding adieu to TNT. NBA fans certainly don?t wish to lose the iconic chemistry that has helped to provide so many memorable moments.
