After an illustrious  16-year-long NBA career, Dwyane Wade now embarks on a new journey as an entrepreneur. The Miami Heat legend plans to further increase his net worth of $17o million with his multiple up-and-coming business ventures.

In a recent interview, the 3x NBA champion shares his thoughts on envisioning himself on the basketball court again, and what role he intends to play instead.

In a recent radio show interview with ‘Hans and Scotty’, the hosts ask the 3x NBA champion if he still has “butterflies in his stomach” when he is watching an NBA game from the courtside and if he still wants to be out there.

Dwyane Wade chuckles as he responds, “Absolutely not.” He explains, “I should not still be out there but I am a fan of the game. One of the best feelings in the world for a basketball player is the beginning of a new season…as a fan, I was giddy right but as a former NBA player, I don’t envision myself on the court.”

Dwyane Wade states that he just watches the game now and tries to help those (players) who need the knowledge he has about the game. The Miami Heat legend then says, “I know I was pretty good at the game and I don’t see anybody else play like me (in today’s NBA). So, I don’t even watch it (NBA games) that way no more.

Dwyane Wade sets the record straight that his playing days are behind him as he embarks on his new and fascinating entrepreneurial journey.

Dwyane Wade’s New Role

As he mentioned in the radio show interview with ‘Hans and Scotty’, Dwyane Wade has now taken on the role of sharing his ‘priceless’ wisdom about the game of basketball at the most elite level (NBA). The NBA Hall of Famer visited the BYU campus where he shared his life’s knowledge and experience with the students authentically.

Among his multiple business ventures, Dwyane “The Flash” Wade is also a minority stakeholder in the Utah Jazz. In the 2023-204 NBA draft, Dwyane Wade showed keen interest in college basketball player, Keyonte George.

The Utah Jazz picked him as the 16th overall pick and Dwayne Wade had high expectations of the rookie. He mentioned in the radio show interview, “You want to see a guy like Keyonte develop.”
