The tournament has also caught the attention of people associated with the NBA, including Philadelphia 76ers legend Charles Barkley. Lending his support to Coach Prime Deion Sanders’ team, the former NBA star stated his reason for not attending a football game live.

Charles Barkley uses the weather for not attending a NCAA football game

Charles Barkley recently sat down for an interview with Fox Sports. During the same, the interviewers touched base on the ongoing NCAA tournament and inquired whether the NBA star would be seen on the sidelines of any Colorado Buffaloes game.

Barkley responded that he may make an appearance at some point. He will just have to wait until the weather becomes a little more merciful. “It?s too hot, it?s too hot,? Barkley added during the conversation.

Despite not joining Barkley?s alma mater, Deion Sanders got a vote of confidence from the NBA legend

While the former NBA star expressed his praise for Coach Prime, he also expressed his disappointment that the latter chose not to give his alma mater a chance. ?I?m happy for CU and happy for Deion, but I really wanted him at Auburn,? Barkley added during the conversation.

Ever since he retired back in 2006, Deion Sanders had been attempting to get back into the world of professional football. Eventually, he got a position as a coach for the Jackson State Tigers. Within the next two years, Sanders started receiving offers from other college teams for the coach position. One of the colleges that put forward an offer was Charles Barkley?s alma mater Auburn University. Barkley played for the Auburn Tigers for three years. Eventually, he was drafted into the NBA in 1984.

No matter how things may have ended up during this college football season, Charles Barkley will not take back the confidence he placed in the former NFL star.
