Shaqir O’Neal is a 20-year-old aspiring basketball player who currently features for the Texas Southern Tigers. Shaqir shared an old post of him hugging a wax statue of Beyonce in 2019 on his Story. He captioned the story, “National GF Day.” Shaqir made it clear that he adores the musician. Unfortunately for him, she is already hitched to another rap icon, Jay Z, and shares three kids with the Hov.

Turns out Shaqir is not the only Beyonce stan in his family as his dad defended the music artist a few months back.

When Beyonce won her latest Grammy accolade, her name was pronounced Beyonce Knowles. The host evidently didn’t pronounce her last name that she got from her husband. It caused her partner Jay Z some uneasiness. Shaq, giving his take on the matter, said, “That’s her name.”
