Shaquille O’Neal joins Coyote for new release

Siblings, Guapo Cortés and Ricky Blanco, donned a couple of animal masks in 2020 and dropped the much-talked-about video, “F**k The Wall.” The duo established their presence with a perfect blend of satire and hip-hop while repping Los Angeles’ Mexican-American culture. They talked about it all on their recent appearance on The KDAY Morning Show, including what they have in store for fans.

Coyote is working on something they’re going to release soon. It’s going to be huge because Guapo and Blanco are working with none other than Shaquille O’Neal.

The name, Coyote, has significant meaning in Mexican-American culture which these brothers wanted to bring to the fore through their music.

The Diesel collaboration is huge for the brothers, who are also into basketball. They once revealed they discovered their talent for music after they lost a championship basketball game. The brothers vented their frustrations through freestyle rapping and went for it.

Coyote has worked with The Game and Blueface in the past. But this new collaboration takes the cake. Coyote is collaborating with O’Neal on a still undisclosed project. On KDAY Morning Show, they revealed they’re about to film the music video with the Los Angeles Lakers legend soon.

When the host kind of hinted about dropping by and getting an exclusive, the brothers were diplomatic.

We don’t want it to be a super-massive public event,” they responded but were willing to make a few exceptions. “We don’t want Shaq to feel uncomfortable either so…”

This is Shaquille O’Neal’s newest collaboration

DJ Diesel has been performing at events but it’s been a while since he released any new music. That changed in April 2023 when Shaq dropped his rap song, “Th*****s Hit the Floor.”

Coyote announced they’re adding a third “Yote” to the group through their official social media.  “I want people to know we’re bringing Shaq back to the Lakers.”

The 7-footer introduced himself as the newest addition to the group in the signature coyote mask. It’s expected to be a massive production with a lot of people as the group wants the video to “embody LA.

As two LA natives who play basketball, this is a point of pride for them.
