After Shaquille O’Neal’s Size Confession, Millionaire Rapper Unveils Why 7ft Giant Was a Challenge for Him

Shaquille O’Neal‘s favorite rapper gifted him a special chain in October this year. The Big Man is friends with some of the biggest names in the music industry. Shaq’s own experience as a rapper also helps elevate his position in the most cut-throat industry in the world. However, despite a great relationship with Rick Ross, Shaq is a difficult person to gift something to.

Months after giving the “big homie” a special Maybach Music Group chain, Ross opened up about the difficulties in gifting anything to Shaq. During a recent conversation with People, the millionaire rapper unveiled how he ensured the chain is a good fit for the 7’1 giant.

Shaq is one of the most accomplished athletes to have come out of the league. But even after all his on-court achievements, the hunger inside the Big Man pushed him to explore different fields. Shaq boasts a platinum-selling record, collaborations with some of the biggest names in music, and worldwide popularity for things even outside basketball. More recently, he has taken up his DJing more seriously. The 4x NBA champion was recently on a tour, performing his dubstep-inspired sets for fans across the globe. Along with his quests, he received a special gift from his favorite rapper.

Ross said that if he gifted Shaq any other chain, it would look odd on him, considering the size of the Big Man. This is why the rapper thought he should get something made that would not only be a representative of his MMG group but would also look better on his old friend. Ross reached out to his jeweler and said “Let’s triple up on it. It ain’t no budget. This for the big homie, Shaq Diesel, Shaq Fu. You know what I mean?” The Shaq & Kobe rapper was very happy with the end product as he posted a picture of him with Shaq, with the said chain in his hand.

Shaquille O’Neal was over the moon

There is nothing that Shaq doesn’t have. However, even for someone as wealthy and accomplished as him, getting a gift from someone like Ross was a happy moment. In the picture that Ross posted, we can see Shaq smiling ear to ear upon receiving the iconic chain of Ross’s music label.

The rapper said “He kept texting me for the next few days”, and that every effort that went into this was worth it.
