After Iverson got traded to the Denver Nuggets in 2006, he wore the No. 3 jersey which belonged to DeMarr Johnson before him (the person who blocks him in the video). Through his Instagram post, Iverson shows love and respect to DeMarr Johnson, who welcomed the NBA superstar with open arms to the Nuggets.

DeMarr Johnson explains in an interview, “I think No. 3 looks a lot better on him. He’s got a legacy wearing that number. I ain’t done much with it.” The humble DeMarr Johnson’s words and actions are still appreciated by the NBA legend. In the post’s caption, ‘The Answer’ also mentions LeBron James and Kevin Durant, to further solidify the fact that these guys are the ‘real deal’ in the NBA right now.

Allen Iverson is like a big brother to many NBA athletes who have come into the league after him. As he was a cultural icon with incredible basketball prowess, he demanded the respect of every NBA athlete before or after him. However, his recent Instagram post makes it very clear who the players are, that he supports in today’s NBA. Kevin Durant is one of the best all-around players of all time. He is a pure shooter, who can make any kind of shot in any kind of situation. He is also almost 7 feet tall which makes him an incredibly tough player to play one-on-one against.

Allen Iverson pays homage via his social media post about LeBron James’s and Kevin Durant’s greatness. The 38-year-old LeBron James sits on the throne of the ‘most points scored’ by an NBA player with 38,652 regular season points (till 2022-2023 season) and counting. Currently 35 years old, Kevin Durant has scored a total of 27,300 points (till 2022-2023 season) and counting. This NBA season may be the last for both LeBron and KD, and Allen Iverson understands how special that is for the entire NBA community.
