The O’Neal siblings reunited. For a while, we have been watching Shaquille O’Neal’s kids, Me’Arah and Shaqir, in their individual battles to lift their college teams. While the older siblings, Shareef and Myles, are constantly sharing a little love through social media shoutouts, the parents have also shown up once or twice to cheer for the kids. It must have been a while, but the O’Neal sisters rolled in just in time to watch their brother Shaqir in action.

The Florida A&M squad was in Gainesville for the matchup against the Florida Gators. This brought the 6’8″ forward in the Exactech Arena, close to his younger sister Me’Arah, who plays for the Florida Gators women’s basketball team. It was obvious for the former Episcopal High School star to show up for her brother.

Joining the two was Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie Henderson’s eldest daughter, Amirah O’Neal. Sharing a snap from the matchup, Me’Arah wrote, “Welcome to the swamp twin” with a heart emoji.

Like her father, Amirah also played for LSU before going on to play for Texas Southern, eventually retiring from the game. The three posed together with broad smiles for a picture and shared it on their socials, perhaps for their parents who were absent. Shaunie was present for Me’Arah’s opening game for the Gators while, at the same time, watching her son Shaqir compete on her phone. It was tough, but the mother of five managed to balance both while expressing her struggle on Instagram.

The father prefers to miss the O’Neal kids’ important games as he feels that he makes them nervous.

Despite the claims and concern, Shaquille O’Neal still made an appearance at Shaqir’s matchup. He was present at the TCU in Fort Worth, Texas. This was likely his most recent appearance for Shaqir’s game. The Los Angeles Lakers legend remained for the first half, while Shaqir managed 2 points with a rebound and an assist each across 15 minutes.

Regardless of the challenges they face during the games, the O’Neal kids continue to persevere, as seen with Me’Arah’s recent injury.

Is Me’Arah O’Neal’s injury concerning?

In a game against the Miami Hurricanes, Me’Arah played only 3 minutes before accidentally taking a blow to the face from Natalija Marshall. Though she initially appeared to handle it well, she soon collapsed to the floor in pain. Me’Arah had to leave the game scoreless and was escorted to the locker room. No further details were revealed about her condition. After her absence, the 7-2 Hurricanes handed the Florida Gators their first loss of the season, defeating them 83-73.

This was a major blow for the Gators. While injury concerns remain, Me’Arah was still there to support her brother. It was a tough loss for Shaqir as well who once again managed 2 points, an assist and 2 rebounds. Alijah Martin contributed 14 points, and Will Richard led the Gators with 20 points, helping them secure an 84-60 win over FAMU.

Perhaps a sibling reunion will boost their energy and confidence for the upcoming action.
