The clip is from Wade’s appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast.
The duo were discussing the snub of Howard from the NBA 75th anniversary team in 2022. “I know a lot of people have a lot of things to say about Dwight Howard as his personality or whatever people like to take a shot at. But when it comes to that man’s actual work, the body of work… It’s undeniable.”
With Sharpe agreeing vehemently, Wade would say, “He took that team to the Finals. You can pick a lot of guys to be on this team, it’s all subjective. But when you’re talking about this generation, these last 25 years, how many names can you think of where Dwight Howard’s name is not in there?”

Shaquille O’Neal’s new stance on D12
Until very recently, Shaq and Howard didn’t see eye to eye. A
part from clashing over who owns the Superman image, they have traded jabs on each other’s careers too. When Howard was playing in the Taiwanese league, O’Neal didn’t hold back the taunts. He once hinted that Howard was not Hall of Fame material.
Something shifted when the possibility of Howard returning to the NBA surfaced. Big Diesel shared highlights and updates from Howard’s training. He even threw Steel Man’s name in the Team USA hat. Now fans are speculating the possibility of Howard reuniting with Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers.
