Dwyane Wade‘s children cooked up a tasty surprise for their dad. Since hanging up his jersey, the basketball legend has been putting in much time with his family. He wants to build as many memories now as he missed during his playing days. When he’s not jet-setting with his family to some distant island, the? Wade family likes to bond over kitchen duties.?

Taking to his Instagram, the 3-time NBA champion shared the delightful snaps of his idyllic day with the young chefs.

Zaya Wade turns chef for father and family

The 13 x NBA All-Star has credited his wife Gabrielle Union for the bond he was able to make with his kids. He stated how when he was busy with his career, it was his wife who took care of the family. After his retirement, fans get to see more of his adorable moments with his kids. Recently, he shared some snaps of him and his daughter, showcasing the delicious burgers and French fries made by 16-year-old Zaya.?

He also credited his son Zaire who was the assistant chef for Zaya on the day. He wrote, ?Zaya Wade in the Kitchen? She made lunch…Zaire was the sous chef.? D-Wade also shared a clip of the unusual team-up in the kitchen. We can see Wade?s nephew, Dahveon Morris in the clip as well.

Back in 2019, the Hall of Famer officially took custody of his nephew even though his sister Deanna Morris has parental rights.

Dwyane Wade wanted his daughter to play basketball?

Like Shaquille O’Neal, the Miami Heat legend also wanted his daughter to be a basketball player. Initially, D-Wade?expressed a desire for Zaya to pursue the same dream he once had as a young hooper.

Wade shared, “I have Zaya. LeBron has Bryce. Melo has Kiyan. All within a 2-3 week span,” he said, “All our kids gonna grow up hooping together.??However, he has happily embraced his daughter?s fashion aspirations.
