The Boston Celtics have been a top contender for the NBA Championship in the past few years. They successfully reached the conference finals before getting knocked out by the Miami Heat last season. The team is led by the four-time All-Star Jayson Tatum. Enjoying his time off the hardwood, Jayson was spotted with a certain NBA Hall of Famer. Interestingly, the Celtics legend challenged Tatum to a rather gruesome task.

Tatum seemingly completed the task and was spotted asking for his due hilariously on social media.

Paul Pierce is hands down one of the biggest figures in Boston history. Alongside Kevin Garnett, he led the Boston Celtics to its maiden title in the past three decades. Now that the future is in Tatum’s hands, one might wonder if he can emulate the Truth. Recently, Pierce and Tatum were spotted together. It was then that the 45-year-old Hall of Famer challenged JT to a physical task from the past.

Pierce challenged the Celtics star to climb the rope in their gym all the way to the top. However, Tatum had other plans.

The Eastern Conference finalist stood up to the task in a spectacular fashion. Despite Paul claiming, “He ain’t got it. He ain’t got this,” Jayson claimed his due as he did what was asked of him. Tatum reposted the clip on his handle and wrote, “Need my bread.”

Quite recently proving his mettle as an efficient scorer, the 25-year-old surpassed Paul Pierce in an impressive scoring list.

Tatum overtakes Paul Pierce

Jayson Tatum now surpassed Paul Pierce for the most forty point games in Celtics history.

He stands second only to the legendary Hick from French Lick, Larry Bird. Tatum has established himself as one of the most versatile scorers in the league but it remains to be seen id he can win another championship for the most successful franchise in NBA history.

The Boston Celtics has made several trips to the conference final in the past few years. But they have been struck with a massive stroke of ill-luck. After losing to the Golden State Warriors in the 2022 NBA Finals, they didn’t even make it that far this year.

Fans will be hoping for more silverware sooner than later. Fortunately for them, Jayson Tatum is hands down one of the hottest basketball entities in the world right now. It’ll be interesting to see if he can be the only second person in this century to lead Celtics to glory.
