Billionaire Magic Johnson Shows Off Corporate Savvy as He Begins Black History Month in Style

Magic Johnson is a gift to the world. The NBA icon has always proudly taken the responsibility of raising awareness about prevalent social issues. That’s not where it ends. In an urge to use his business acumen for the benefit of others, he often shares his insights with people. The 5x Champion kicked off Black History Month in a similar style. The Los Angeles Lakers legend shared his business wisdom with hundreds of people at an Edward Jones event.
The Edward Jones program is focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work and is committed to helping people. The event saw 600 people and 8000 people live streaming to listen to Johnson. He shared a few glimpses of the event on his Instagram as well. Sharing his excitement, he said, “I just had one of my best speaking engagements ever with Edward Jones centered around the importance of DEI in St. Louis!”
Expressing his commitment, he added, “I enjoyed weighing in on the significance of prioritizing DEI work and how it can positively impact society. Along with creating a level playing field and promoting equitable opportunities, it also has the potential to boost the ROI in corporate America… What a strong way to begin Black History Month!” The 60-year-old also thanked various people connected to the event.
