And his recent visit to Brazil is one such display of his impact.

Through an Instagram Story on Sunday, the NBA legend revealed that he was a guest speaker for the XP Brazil performance in Sao Paulo. By sharing his insights on entrepreneurship, leadership, and personal development, he inspired a new generation of 8000 entrepreneurs, financial advisors, and investors in South America. 

His message resonated with the audience, as he spoke from experience, having faced challenges and setbacks throughout his career. “The energy was incredible, and it was touching to see some attendees get emotional during our meet and greets from meeting me!wrote the former point guard on his Instagram Story. The legend didn’t stop there.

He uploaded a series of pictures on his Instagram story thanking the Banco XP founders Guilherme Benchimol and Gabriel Lead, and the CEO Jose Berenguer for inviting him to the conference. The legendary female basketball player from Brazil, Hortencia Marcari, was also present at the conference. But, what was this event all about?

Expert XP is the world’s largest investment festival that took place on August 30 and 31 at Sao Paulo Expo in Brazil. It is well known for its expansive festive space, which hosts some of the biggest players in the financial market and high-quality content. Much like its previous editions, this year as well the festival put out a grand stage for financial education, involving unmatched opportunities to connect with the prominent names in the financial market and other segments.

Magic Johnson and his empire

One of the most successful ventures of Johnson includes his brainchild, Magic Johnson Enterprises. He started this enterprise in 1987 with the money that he earned from playing in the NBA. This company aimed to provide consulting services and investments to underdeveloped communities. In 2020, Fox Business valued the business at $1 billion. 

Apart from starting a business, the NBA legend had also invested in the sports world. In 2012, he made a major investment by purchasing one of the best teams in the MLB, the Los Angeles Dodgers, for a staggering amount of $2.15 billion. He also has shares in the WNBA team Los Angeles Sparks and the NFL team Washington Commanders.
