Legendary, entertaining, larger than life, multi-preneur genius we see everywhere – is that Shaq or Snoop Dogg? Doesn’t matter. It applies to both. From Snoop Dogg’s big foray into the Olympics to Shaquille O’Neal becoming ‘candyman,’ there’s no field this iconic pair of friends will spare. Some of us aren’t surprised. Others are like Marlon Wayans, always stunned when they discover another pie Shaq or Snoop have a finger in. Since Snoop was not around, the younger of the Wayans fam tried to get the O’Neal branding team when he was on The Big Podcast with Shaq this week.

Although Marlon is not Shaq’s favorite Wayan (that’s Kim, obvs), he offered him the privilege to bite his head off. At least the candy version of his head. If you recently came out of a rock, we now live in a world with Shaq-a-licious XL Gummies, O’Neal’s later collaboration with Hershey’s offering gigantic gummies in the shape of Shaq’s head. The Shaq-a-licious packs were displayed on the set between O’Neal and his guest and yet Marlon thought they were a prop.

O’Neal parroted his new favorite line for his candy. “I’ll give you permission to talk about me and bite my head off anytime you like.” That made Wayan say, “My man, look at you, you got candy? You on all kinds [of stuff], you and Snoop [Dogg]. I want to talk to y’all branding people.”

Unlike Marlon, we’d say coming into candy business was overdue for Shaq. Like, even Snoop has the most famous chocolate peanut butter cookie recipe on the planet. These savvy moguls get to show their sweet side.

Shaq and Snoop Dogg have a lot going on

While NBC announced Snoop Dogg as part of their Olympics broadcasting lineup, O’Neal was cooking up something. He zipped off to Pennsylvania months ago to test the first batch of Shaq-a-licuous XL Gummies at the Hershey’s factory. The official page would share glimpses of the 4x champion’s visit to announce the new Shaq candy is on the way.

Snoop Dogg too recently brought back his iconic collaboration with Dr Dre in a new form – turning their famous track “Gin & Juice” into a cocktail line. They launched Gin & Juice in London this summer and brought Shaq along to host the launch party. From there, O’Neal went on his Summer of Bass Tour across Europe while Calvin went to Paris. And the amazement of watching the rap legend in the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics has not died down.

Shaq came back to the US to launch Shaq-a-licious among planning the next Bass All-Stars festival and promoting budding producers. Snoop’s got a collaboration with Dr Dre and Sting in the works while investing in other projects. No slowing down these two.
