On the unexpected death of the 76-year-old, Chapman shared an iconic video of Weathers, speaking about philosophy. In the video, the late legend shared his aspiration to become an actor. When someone suggested he should become a movie star, Weathers denied it and said there is a difference between an actor and a movie star. He said, “You can wait around the next 30,45, 150 years and you may never be a movie star, but you can be an actor if you want.”
Weathers added, “What your intention is and what you really want, you ought to check yourself, and really ask yourself…If you commit to it fully and continue and continue and continue and continue, regardless of what’s thrown in front of you, you will become good enough.” Well, there were no lies spoken here as Weathers lived by the above words. And this is a perfect tribute by Chapman on this devastating occasion.
