The ‘NBA on TNT’ is back!!! The notorious co-hosts Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O’Neal have made their return, making quite some noise on social media. Apart from the hilarious jokes and mocking, 76ers legend Charles Barkley and Houston Rockets icon Kenny Smith have their own race every season which is also one of the highlights of the show. Well, it’s just the third day of the season and the above two legends have already started their games. 

In what’s going to be a very tight battle, Kenny Smith has taken the lead and now we wait for an answer from Barkley. What is this game all about? Let’s take a look. 

Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith head into traditional battle

Well, if you have been an ardent fan of ‘the ‘NBA on TNT’, you would be familiar with hosts race to the screen. It’s a competition between the three legends, Shaq, Barkley and Smith where they have a short race during the halftime show. 

In yet another episode of the race, 1993 MVP Barkley turned victim to a hilarious boobytrap set by Smith. The Rockets legend placed a suitcase right beside Barkley, blocking his runway to the screen.

As soon as Barkley succumbed to the hindrance, Smith took full advantage and ran fiercely to the screen behind them. Making Barkley a joke on the sets, Smith screamed, “You wanted to beat me on Day 1? NEVER!”

This is not the first time Barkley has fallen prey. Same goes to both Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith. However, taking a loss on the very first race of a new season can be quite embarassing. Well, you could see Barkley smiling with face down in denial!

Kenny ‘The Jet’ Smith is a trickster

There is no wonder why Smith is nicknamed as ‘The Jet’, considering his quickness. However, Smith is better in tricking his opponents. In an old episode of ‘TNT’, Smith used his brilliance to trick 3-time 6MOTY Jamal Crawford on live TV.

In an old video shared by the media house, Smith smartly throws a pen right in front of Crawford and requests him to pass it back. Well, this is where you have to be cautious, but sadly, Crawford fell prey. By the time Crawford could react, Smith had already won the race!

Smith is up 1-0 against Barkley and now it’s time for the 76ers legend to take a revenge.
