One of the NBA’s most flamboyant personalities, Dennis Rodman, was also one of the finest NBA players. He had a career that was almost equally divided between his accomplishments on the court and disasters off it. One of the people who was aware of the Worm’s abilities was Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. When Rodman joined the Mavericks in 2000, Cuban offered Rodman to stay with him in his house. While they have always maintained a great friendship, one cannot easily forget about the time he got kicked out of Cuban’s house.

Just after 12 games with the Dallas Mavericks, Cuban had to waive Rodman’s contract due to his off-court issues and not-so-inspiring performances on the court. In a recent conversation, Rodman recalled the first time he stepped into the Dallas Mavericks owner’s house.

He was given permission by the Mavericks owner to miss practices and arrive late to the games. Furthermore, he mentioned that Cuban had paid for all his furniture at the guest house. According to the player, his billionaire friend gave him $100,000 to buy all the stuff he wanted. Following that, he hosted a grand party at the house.

Following Rodman’s dispute with David Stern, he was kicked out of his billionaire friend’s house

Dennis Rodman’s chaotic presence and contentious decisions might have been the reason for his rivalry with NBA Commissioner David Stern.

From his tattoos to his violent gestures on the court, there are many moments when Stern didn’t quite agree with him. Rodman believed that he was forced to leave Cuban’s guest house in 2000 despite paying rent as a direct consequence of his feud with Stern. That action, according to Stern, was taken as a result of a violation of the salary cap rules. Rodman was given 72 hours to leave the premises. He was eventually relocated to a high-rise apartment.
