Sports itself provides a source of awe-inspiring and gripping stories. And sports documentaries breathe life into those enchanting stories that we are not able to experience live. Players and fans equally draw inspiration from these movies. It’s not surprising then that sports documentaries have gained so much popularity over the past decade. Recently, Boston Celtics legend Kevin Garnett reacted over a fans’ obsession with an old documentary.
The documentary, “Through the Fire” chronicles the enthralling life of a former NBA player. In fact, a fan’s rant about the documentary amazed KG.

Sebastian Telfair’s story amazed Kevin Garnett
Sebastian Telfair was considered one of the shining stars of basketball and his rich portfolio is evidence of it. Slam Magazine even featured him next to the NBA’s all-time leading scorer LeBron James. Unfortunately, Sebastian never reached the same heights as The King. Telfair’s days from a talented high school player to the most coveted position in NBA are encapsulated in the documentary.

The comments section of a post about the movie claims there are more fans who recognize the former player since the release of “Through the Fire”. In fact, 2004 NBA MVP Kevin Garnett was delighted to see Sebastian receive his flowers from fans.
Apparently, Jay-Z was also a fan of Telfair. In the video, the fan states that Telfair had “HOV coming to high school games.”

Garnett immediately took to Instagram to share the video on his story. He also wrote, “Shout to Bassy…bro was it…pls don’t get it f***ed up!! Bro WAS IT CI STAND UP.”
Of course, since Garnett has played 21 seasons in the NBA, his expertise is unrivaled. After his retirement, the player has been actively engaged with the fans through his social media accounts. He doesn’t hesitate to share his opinions about everything and anything related to the sports world. Just like he gave a shout-out to Telfair.

Sebastian Telfair was selected by the Portland Trailblazers with the 13 overall picks in the year 2004.
The 6’0 guard was named U.S. Mr. Basketball, McDonald’s All-American MVP, and New York Mr. Basketball. After high school, the talented and skilled basketball player went directly into the NBA.

Despite all of this, the trajectory of his career was severely affected by issues in his personal life.
While the player could not live up to people’s expectations, he managed to pull off 10 great years in the NBA. Unfortunately, his post-retirement life has been a bit shaky. In 2017, the former player was arrested and sentenced to 3 and a half years in prison.
