Bulls Announcer Doubles Down on Stern Reaction To Jerry Krause’s Widow’s Tears After Philadelphia Fans Take Offence

The horrible booing at the announcement of Jerry Krause’s name at the Chicago Bulls Rings of Honor has the internet abuzz with reactions. Among those voices, Bulls announcer Stacey King stood out. While he defended Krause and expressed his opinion on the horrible gesture by fans, King also brought two other franchise fans Philadelphia and New York into the conversation. He expressed that Chicago fans were better than this and “unlike” the fans in cities like New York and Philadelphia. However, that ended up drawing criticism from one of the Philadelphia 76ers fans.
Taking offense, the fan commented, “I think I just watched the fans in CHICAGO boo a former GM who won 6 championships and his widowed wife. Throwing other cities under the bus is lame af. Just another member of the media trying to paint Philly in a poor light.”
Instead of softening his stance, Stacey doubled down, sharing a message to lecture the offended fan. “Let it go my guy it’s over! If you’re not one of those fans that give the team that you support a bad rap from their behavior then keep it moving because I’m not talking about you!”

King wrote, “I’m talking about the fans that we saw last night in Chicago and the fans that do it in other cities as well like Philadelphia, NYC, and other cities so let’s please stop acting like everyone in your fan base are angels & saints because you know damn well they’re not!!! Have a great night.”

Alongside numerous NBA stars, King was also heartbroken to witness Thelma Krause getting booed by Chicago Bulls fans. However, King’s decision to voice his criticism of Bulls fans stirred a wave of backlash. While Kings’ sentiments resonated with some, his choice of words drew criticism from fans of other NBA franchises.

Many didn’t agree with his way of comparing the Bulls fans with Philadelphia and New York. NFL Network host and native New Yorker, Rich Eisen agreed with King’s sentiment about the Bulls fans, however, he didn’t agree with his decision to compare the other East Coast cities. Despite the criticism, King is confident about his opinion and just reaffirmed that in the comments above. Do you think he is right? Do tell us in the comments section below.
