Bulls Trade Rumor: Ex-Lakers Star Hangs Selfish Motives in Public as Zach LaVine’s Future Sees No Certainty

The Zach LaVine trade rumors are heating up. The Chicago Bulls star is reportedly frustrated by being on the sidelines and there are early signs of a trade. So while the Bulls franchise figures out how to deal with this situation, ex-NBA star Lou Williams has offered some free advice to Chicago.

During the recent episode of Run It Back show, Williams said that when the LaVine deal is about to go through, the Bulls might as well let go of DeMar DeRozan.

Although the LaVine situation is critical for the franchise, the DeRozan trade that Williams is advocating for is personal for him. When asked about whether the Bulls should ‘Build it up’ or ‘Blow it up’ on the LaVine trade rumors, he said, “Blow it up.” After that, he proceeded to add, “If you’re going to let Zach LaVine go, free DeMar DeRozan as well.” Williams said, “My position is coming from a personal place. I want to see my brother have an opportunity to compete at the highest level in the later years of his career. I don’t want to see him be wasted away there, floating around on the eighth or ninth spot.”

After Williams voiced his opinion about DeRozan’s opportunity to compete at the highest level, Chandler Parsons chimed in on the topic with his perspective.

Chandler Parsons talks about the Zach LaVine rumors

Parsons said, “This has been rumored since last year…This is a team like it’s not a young team like a San Antonio or a building team, this team is poised to win right now and they are not winning. It’s not working no matter what the system is, the offense, the character of the guys, whatever. This hasn’t worked. You can get a lot for these guys too.” Parsons said that the Bulls roster is stacked and on paper, there is no problem with them.

However, somehow things have not worked in their favor so far and that is why it is important for them to deconstruct and go into rebuilding. Maybe even moving a few pieces here and there could do the trick because as per the NBA veteran, these players have a lot of potential, they just haven’t been able to tap into it. He said, “They have assets that teams want. Blow it up because you’re not competing this year.” The word is in from two ex-NBA players, whether the Bulls will follow it, we’ll have to wait and watch.
